Superintendent Sheridan School District
Welcome to Sheridan School District 2!
If you are looking for a school district with
a family-friendly feeling and a strong sense of community, you have arrived at
the right place.
Sheridan School District 2 is located in
southwest Metro Denver, tucked between the much larger school districts of
Denver Public Schools and Jefferson County Public Schools.
In fact, we have just four school
buildings—an Early Childhood Center for three-and four-year-olds; Alice Terry
Elementary School for kindergarten through second grade; Fort Logan Northgate
School for grades three through eight; and Sheridan High School. We also offer an alternative program for
older students called SOAR (Student Outreach and Academic Recovery).
Our brand new Fort Logan Northgate School
opened in 2015. It’s a state-of-the-art facility that is widely hailed as one
of the finest school buildings in the entire state of Colorado. This gorgeous
school is a model facility that really must be seen in person.
Due to our small community feeling and
talented, hard-working teachers, hundreds of students choose to attend Sheridan
School District from outside our school boundaries. Parents love our small-town
flavor that allows for plenty of close, personal attention for all students.
Our schools welcome your involvement and
direct participation. Our well-maintained facilities create a solid learning
environment, and our school calendars thrive with sports, arts, and engaging
