2016/17 4th ANNUAL GIFTED FAMILY NIGHT

5:50-6:00               Welcome and Introductions

 

6:00-6:40               PARENTS: Gifted 101-What is a gifted learner? What’s an ALP?                                  How was my child identified? Will my child always be                                                  gifted?

                              PARENTS: Gifted 102-What do I do at conferences? What’s                                                 enabling versus Empowering? What’s gifted                                                           programming?

                              STUDENTS: What’s an “End of Year Celebration?” Listen to                                               ideas Sheridan students are already pursuing. 

                                        Brainstorm with your friends about a project you

                                        might pursue. Play a game. Win prizes!

 

6:50-7:00               Families reconvene for closing discussions about ALPs, goals,                                         and our year-end “Celebration of Learning!” Watch a short video!

                                           Begin to develop a goal! Win more prizes!

                   

7:00             Dessert in Commons- Grab and Go!
