Dear Prospective SOAR Student and Parent,
Thank you for your interest in SOAR Academy, an alternative education high school serving students in the Sheridan School District and Denver metro area. At this time, we are opening enrollment to new students interested in attending SOAR Academy.
We are holding open registration for new students April 3rd – April 26th from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please understand that registration is only the first step, as your student must successfully complete Engage, SOAR Academy’s orientation program. Students must maintain an 80% or better attendance rate during Engage and adhere to our behavior expectations to be considered for admission at SOAR Academy.
Upcoming Engage Dates/Times-Monday, 5/1 - Thursday, 5/18 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Students will be provided with breakfast and lunch each day, but are also welcome to bring a lunch or snacks. Students successfully completing Engage will have the option of attending summer school and will begin classes August 2, 2017.
When you come to register, please bring all of the following:
· Birth certificate (a copy is fine)
· Current immunization records
· Proof of your address
· Official transcript from your current school (and any previous high school if possible)
· Withdrawal papers or grade card from your current school
· If your family receives SNAP benefits, please bring your ID#
· Health insurance card or number
