Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, April 11

The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the board room located at SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd.

The agenda includes an update on a new district partner; an update on a new vacancy on the Sheridan Board of Education; a debrief of the community reception for new Sheridan High School principal Shirley Miles; presentation of LEED Award for Fort Logan Northgate’s School overall energy efficiency; Facility Master Plan presentation and meeting on Wednesday, April 12; an update on graduation location and plans for both Sheridan High School and SOAR Academy; an update on school finance; an update on Head Start Cherry School District; and a special announcement.

SOAR principal Christian Ramaker will present an update or progress and plans at SOAR Academy.

The agenda includes a motion to accept the resignation of a board member. The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations, financial recommendations, approval of the minutes from the Feb. 28 board meeting; and Head Start Program Reports. The board will also review a series of policy governance policies.

Time will also be allotted for public comment. All audience comments are limited to five minutes.
