Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, March 14

The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, March 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the board room located at SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd.

Prior to the formal meeting, the board will review the physical condition and related maintenance issues at the Early Childhood Center and at SOAR Academy as part of its ongoing “facility walk” review of district infrastructure. The facility walk begins at 4:45 p.m. (SOAR and the Early Childhood Center share the same building.)

The agenda includes screening of a promotional video regarding kindergarten at Alice Terry Elementary School; presentation by a special guest, Communities That Care coordinator Peter Crosier-Cajina); an update on high school graduation; a debrief of the facilities walk; update on Legislative Day; school calendar; collaboration; update on the Facility Master Plan Committee meeting; counselor grant; and an update on the Fort Logan Northgate Bullying Grant.

Pat Sandos, Executive Director of School Services and Student Behavioral and Emotional Supports, will also present student survey data.

The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations; district calendars for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years; and policy governance revisions.

Time will also be allotted for public comment. All audience comments are limited to five minutes.
