Board of Education Meeting Tonight—Tuesday, May 22

The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, May 22 in the board room at SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd.  The meeting will begin with a work session at 5 p.m. The regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

The work session topic is the administrative and district organizational chart.

The regular meeting agenda includes a recommendation and presentation from the District Accountability and Advisory Committee; an update on the master agreement for the 2018-2019 school year; first reading of the 2018-2019 school year budget; debrief of Sheridan High School graduation and reminders; BEST (Building Excellent Schools Today) grant presentation; GOCO (Great Outdoors Colorado) grant update; special education compliance; staff exit survey; Sheridan Celebrates transportation and committee; and Achievement #3.

The board is also scheduled to hear an update on the Early Childhood Center.

Board of education president Bernadette Saleh is expected to provide an update on the contract for the incoming superintendent, Pat Sandos.

The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations, financial recommendations, approval of meeting minutes (April 3, April 10 and April 24 meetings); and approval and revision of various board policies.

Time will also be allotted for public comment. All audience comments are limited to five minutes.
