Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, Aug. 8
The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Aug. 8 in the board room at SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The agenda includes a debrief of Opening Session; a debrief of the start of the school year; an update on the Community BBQ planned for Wednesday, Aug. 16; election and call for candidates for the Sheridan School District 2 Board of Education; an update on the daily leave policy; setting Goal #1 regarding attendance; and an update on teacher retention data.
The board will also hear a presentation regarding Ground Work Denver, an organization that partners with communities to improve the physical environment and promote health and well-being.
The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations and Head Start COLA (Cost of Living) application.
Time will also be allotted for public comment. All audience comments are limited to five minutes.
