Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, Feb. 27
The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Feb. 27 in the board room at
SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd. The meeting will begin at 5:30
p.m.
The agenda includes an announcement about the High School Wrestling Hall of
Fame and Sheridan High School wrestling coach Forrest Davis; an update on the
Mentor 2.0 program at Sheridan High School; an update from the District
Advisory and Accountability Committee; an update on proposed improvements by
South Suburban Park and Recreation; a recommendation on translation services;
and an update on Achievement Number One.
The board will also hear a presentation regarding the district's ongoing plans
to develop a Biliteracy Diploma.
The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations, financial
recommendations, approval of minutes (Dec. 12, Dec. 22, 2017 and Jan. 23, 2018
meetings), and board policy revisions.
Time will also be allotted for public comment. All audience comments are
limited to five minutes.
