Board of Education Schedules Stakeholder Meetings for
Superintendent Search; Online Forum Also Available
The Sheridan
Board of Education today announced a series of stakeholder meetings to be held
Monday, Jan. 22 and Tuesday, Jan 23 to solicit input as part of the search for
a new superintendent. The meetings will be facilitated by Ray and
Associates, the firm hired by the board to organize the search.
The conversations
at each stakeholder meeting will inform the board’s effort to develop a profile
of the ideal candidate to meet Sheridan School District 2’s leadership needs.
Each stakeholder
meeting will last an hour and will be held in the community room at Sheridan
High School, 3201 W. Oxford Ave.
In addition to
the stakeholder meetings, the board will hold a public forum at Sheridan High
School in the community room at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

Anyone who is
unable to attend the meeting with their colleagues or cohorts is invited to
attend one of the public forums.
In addition, the
board is gathering feedback via two online surveys posted on the district
website, http://www.ssd2.org.?

One survey asks
respondents to select 10 top characteristics that are needed in a new
superintendent and is available in both English and Spanish.
The second survey
poses 15 questions about the state of the school district today and is also
available in Spanish.
