Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, Feb. 13
The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Feb. 13 in the board room at SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The board will also gather in the morning (Feb. 13) for a Learning Walk visit at the Early Childhood Center (4100 S. Hazel Ct.) That visit will begin at 9 a.m.
At the 5:30 p.m. meeting, the agenda includes a financial audit review; district and board translation services; a recap of the Learning Walk at the Early Childhood Center; the teacher and hiring recruitment plan for 2018-2019; an update on the BEST (Building Excellent Schools Today) grant application; 2018-2019 district leadership organizational chart; update on Medicaid; board of education meeting schedule for March; Alternative Graduation Pathways Grant; an update on the website; and an update on the board’s policy adoption and revision process.
The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations, approval of uses of schools buses for VFW event, and approval of various board policy revisions.
Time will also be allotted for public comment. All audience comments are limited to five minutes.
