Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, Jan. 23 Followed by
Superintendent Stakeholder Meeting for Community Members at Sheridan High
School
The Sheridan
Board of Education will meet tonight (Tuesday, Jan. 23) in the board room at
SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
and is expected to be brief. Following the meeting, board members will attend
the 6 p.m. stakeholder meeting for community members at Sheridan High School,
3201 W. Oxford Ave.
The meeting for
community members is designed for parents and community members to offer their
insights and inform the board’s effort to develop a profile of the ideal
candidate to meet Sheridan School District 2’s needs for a new superintendent.
Superintendent Clough is leaving the district in June following ten years of
service.
The agenda at the
5:30 p.m. board meeting includes an update on budget planning for the 2018-2019
school year. The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations, financial
recommendations, and approval of minutes (for the Nov. 28, 2017 meeting).
Time will also be
allotted for public comment. All audience comments are limited to five minutes.
