Medications for your child while at school
- Medications can be administered at school only if the conditions listed below are met. All medications, including over-the-counter (OTC) medications such as Advil, Tylenol, cough drops, etc. must follow the conditions listed below:

Each School's Front Office will receive written permission to administer the medication, including OTC medications from the student’s health care provider with prescriptive authority under Colorado law.

The parent/guardian is responsible for providing all medication to be administered to the student.

Medication must be in the original, properly labeled container. Prescription medication must include the student’s name, name of the medication, dosage, frequency of administration, and name of the prescribing health care provider printed on the container
- Medication orders are good for one year from the date of the written order.

Students are not allowed to carry or use medications that have not completed the Self Carry Contract.
La medicina Prescrita debe estar en un envase con etiqueta que contenga esta informacion: nombre del estudiante, nombre de la medincina, hora a administrarse, dosis, ultima fecha de administrar y el nombre del Medico. Ademas, debe incluir en nombre de la farmacia y numero de telefono.
Las medincinas no prescritas deben llevar una etequeta con el nombre del estudiante. La dosis debe ser igual a la autorizacion del medico y la medicina debe estar en su envase originial. Estudiantes necesitan un contrato de "Self-Carry." Obtenga este contrato en la oficina de salud de tu escuela.
