Burlington Stores Donates $10,000 to Fort Logan Northgate School Teachers to Purchase Classroom Supplies Through AdoptAClassroom.org

Burlington Stores today announced a $10,000 donation to the classroom teachers at Fort Logan Northgate School, who will purchase classroom supplies through AdoptAClassroom.org.

The announcement was made during an all-school assembly this afternoon (Friday, Aug. 23).

“As your new neighbors, we wanted to do something to support classrooms and teachers, who often times are dipping into their own pockets to buy classroom supplies,” said Burlington Stores District Manager Andrew Montoya, who presented the check. “With the help of AdoptAClassroom.org we are going to adopt all of the teachers at Fort Logan Northgate School and help them buy more school supplies for every classroom in this beautiful school.”

Fort Logan Northgate Schools serves third-grade through eighth-grade students. The school has 24 classroom teachers, in addition to special education and elective teachers.

The announcement is tied to the September 6th opening of Burlington Stores’ new location in River Point Shopping Center in Sheridan.

AdoptAClassroom.org is a national, award-winning nonprofit that provides the most flexible and accountable funding for K-12 teachers and schools throughout the U.S. The organization’s proprietary, easy-to-use education fundraising platform helps teachers, principals, and other school administrators give every child the tools they deserve to succeed in school. Since 1998, AdoptAClassroom.org has raised more than $36 million and supported 4.5 million students.

“We can’t thank Burlington Stores enough for this tremendous shot in the arm. The timing is fantastic at the beginning of the school year when teachers—and their students—need it the most,” said Fort Logan Northgate School principal Bill Blandón. “This generous donation represents true community support. We truly appreciate it.”
