Sheridan Board of Education
Thanked for Extraordinary Dedication
Superintendent Pat Sandos and
Sheridan School District 2 staff this week thanked members of the Sheridan
Board of Education for their extraordinary dedication and tireless public
service to the community.
“Sheridan is fortunate to have
a school board that demonstrates thoughtful, critical leadership on behalf of
students every single day,” said Superintendent Pat Sandos. “During School
Board Recognition Month we want to honor our board members, who donate so many
countless hours of time in service to our community, but our appreciation isn’t
confined to this moment—it’s really something we feel every day of the year.
Sheridan Board of Education
members are Bernadette Saleh, Sally Daigle, Karla Najera, Daniel Stange, and
Juanita Camacho. At its regular board meeting last night (Jan. 14), board
members were presented with certificates from the district acknowledging their
dedication.
“What’s truly inspiring is that
our board always has students and student needs as the focus of their
deliberations,” said Superintendent Sandos. “The Sheridan community needs to
know that our board members leave personal agendas aside. Our board approaches
issues with one central question in mind and that is “what is best for kids?”
That core notion has served this district well. We are fortunate to have five
individuals who uphold this basic philosophy and use it as a guide for all
district work. The Sheridan Board of Education provides the important guidance
we need, often on challenging decisions, and I speak for district staff when I
say we can’t thank them enough.”

al Consejo Educativo de Sheridan por su Extraordinaria Dedicación
Esta semana el Superintendente
Pat Sandos y el personal del Distrito Escolar de Sheridan 2 agradeció a los
miembros del Consejo de Educación de Sheridan por su extraordinaria dedicación
y por su incansable servicio a la comunidad.
“Sheridan es afortunado de
tener un consejo educativo que demuestra un liderasgo crítico y reflexivo con
respecto a los estudiantes cada día,” dijo el Superintendente Pat Sandos.
“Durante el Mes de Reconocimiento del Consejo Educativo queremos honrar a
nuestros miembros del consejo, quienes donan tantas horas incontables de su
tiempo para servir a nuestra comunidad, pero nuestro agradecimiento no se
limita solo a este momento—es algo que realmente sentimos cada día del año.
Los miembros del Consejo
Educativo de Sheridan son: Bernadette Saleh, Sally Daigle, Karla Najera, Daniel
Stange y Juanita Camacho. En la reunión de la junta directiva de anoche (14 de
enero), los miembros del consejo recibieron certificados del distrito reconociendo
su dedicación.
“Lo que realmente inspira es

enfoque de sus deliveraciones”, dijo el Superintendente Sandos. “La comunidad
de Sheridan necesita saber que nuestros miembros del consejo dejan agendas
personales de lado. Ellos abordan los problemas con una pregunta central en
mente y esta es “¿qué es lo mejor para los niños?” Esta noción central ha
servido bien a este distrito. Somos afortunados en tener cinco individuos que
defienden esta filosofia básica y la utilizan como guía para todo el trabajo
del distrito. El Consejo Educativo de Sheridan proporciona la guía tan
importante que necesitamos, a menudo en decisiones desafiantes y yo hablo en
nombre del personal del distrito cuando digo que no podemos agradecerles lo
suficiente”.
