Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, Oct. 9

The Sheridan Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Oct. 9 at SOAR Academy, 4107 S. Federal Blvd.  The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting will begin with a spotlight on Alice Elementary School—students Benjamin McGee and Christian Rios-Maldonado and staff members Trudy Morales, Silvia Trujillo and Paula Wheeler. Alice Terry principal Diego Romero and assistant principal Jennifer Webster will also present an overview of the school and progress being made.

The agenda also includes audience for members of the public. All audience comments are limited to three minutes.

The agenda also includes a debrief of Sheridan Celebrates; an update on the scheduled Nov. 27 work session; the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) conference; an update on the appeal of performance rating; and an update on the Beyond Textbooks Conference.

The consent agenda includes personnel recommendations, financial recommendations, approval of Board of Education meeting minutes (for the Sept. 11, 2018 meeting); and approval of a job description.
