Sheridan Celebrates Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27
Superintendent Pat Sandos today encouraged district staff and students to mark their calendars and not miss Sheridan Celebrates, featuring a drive-in concert on Saturday evening, Sept. 26 and a drive-through parade on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27.
“Hats’ off to the creative and innovative adjustments that went into Sheridan Celebrates this year, to ensure everyone’s safety during these challenging times,” said Superintendent Sandos. “This is a major highlight on the community calendar every year and I’m thrilled that the organizers found a way to keep it going even with all the public health challenges. This event brings out the best in the Sheridan family!”
The theme this year is “Sheridan Celebrates Under the Sea.” The events begin on Saturday evening, Sept. 26, with a concert by Soul Sacrifice: A Tribute to Santana. The concert will be held in the parking lot at Sheridan High School, 3201 West Oxford Ave., from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Concert-goers will listen to audio through their vehicles’ FM stereo. Attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles during the concert. Tickets are $5 per carload.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, get back in the car and travel to Fort Logan Northgate School, 4000 S.
Lowell Blvd., for the “Drive-Through Parade” from noon to 2 p.m. Many favorite Sheridan Celebrates parade entries will be set up in the parking lot at Fort Logan Northgate School while parade attendees drive through. All attendees must remain in their vehicles. This event is free. The first 300 cars will be given a goody bag when exiting the parking lot.

El superintendente Pat Sandos animó hoy al personal del distrito y a los estudiantes a marcar sus calendarios y no perderse Sheridan Celebrates, presentando un concierto en automóvil el Sábado 26 de Septiembre por la noche y un desfile de automóvil el Domingo 27 de Septiembre por la tarde.
"Me quito el sombrero ante los ajustes creativos e innovadores que se realizaron en Sheridan Celebrates este año, para garantizar la seguridad de todos durante estos tiempos difíciles", dijo el superintendente Sandos. “Este es un evento importante en el calendario de la comunidad cada año y estoy encantado de que los organizadores hayan encontrado una manera de mantenerlo en marcha incluso con todos los desafíos de salud pública. ¡Este evento saca lo mejor de la familia Sheridan! "
