The Board of Education of the Sheridan School District No2 is accepting applications from persons interested in serving on the Board of Education from the date of appointment in August, 2021 until the next regular biennial school election in November 2021. To be eligible for appointment, each candidate must be a registered elector of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months prior to the date of appointment. The applicant must also be a resident of the director district in which the vacancy exists
[District E, see map]. The person must affirm that they have never been
convicted of commission of a sexual offense against a child.¹
Any person who meets the qualifications and who desires to be considered for the appointment is invited to file a written notice of such intention with the secretary of the Board of Education, Polly Plancarte by July 9

nolo contendere or having received a deferred judgment and sentence, except that a person shall not be deemed to have been convicted if the person has successfully completed a deferred sentence. C.R.S. 22-31-107(5)(c).
For purposes of this document, “sexual offense against a child” means any of the offenses described in Sections 18-3-305, 18-3-405, 18-3-405.3, 18-3-504(2), 18-6-301, 18-6-302, 18-6-403, 18-6-404, and 18-7-402 to 18-7-406, C.R.S., and any of the offenses described in Sections 18-3-402, 18-3-404 and 18-7-302, C.R.S., where the victim is less than 18 years of age. “Sexual offense against a child” also means attempt, solicitation, or conspiracy to commit any of the offenses specified in this paragraph.
