School Closure Today 6/25/2026

Dear Sheridan Staff and Families,

Due to the severe weather that impacted our area last night, several building safety systems were affected and must be thoroughly inspected before students and staff can safely return to our facilities.

The safety and well-being of our students and employees is our highest priority. Out of an abundance of caution, Sheridan School District No. 2 Summer school and programs will be closed on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
District staff and contractors are currently assessing the affected systems to ensure our buildings meet all safety requirements before reopening.

We understand that school closures can create challenges for families and staff, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we take the necessary steps to ensure a safe learning and working environment for everyone.

Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
Dr. Gionni Thompson
