October is National Principals Month

If you spend a few minutes with Julieann Trujillo, you'll quickly discover two things: she genuinely loves students, and she believes education can change lives.

As the Principal of Sheridan High School, Julieann brings 28 years of experience in education and a lifelong commitment to helping students pursue their dreams. Her own educational journey was shaped by mentors who believed in her, encouraged her, and helped her see what was possible.

After spending five years as an assistant principal in Colorado's largest school district, Julieann was ready to take the next step into school leadership. Sheridan's close-knit community, collaborative culture, and commitment to students made it the perfect fit.

Ask Julieann about her favorite part of the job and she won't hesitate: students. Whether she's chatting with them in the hallways, learning about their interests and future goals, or visiting classrooms to see learning in action, she treasures the chance to connect with young people every day.

What inspires her most about Sheridan students? Their potential. From college courses and university partnerships to Career and Technical Education pathways, she sees students pursuing incredible opportunities and building bright futures.

Julieann is equally inspired by the staff she works alongside each day. She believes every member of the Sheridan High School team shares a deep commitment to serving students and families.

And here's a fun fact you might not know: when she's not cheering on students and staff, Julieann is likely enjoying her other passion, music. She's an avid music lover who enjoys listening to and collecting unique vinyl records, always on the lookout for the next great addition to her collection.
