Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Enrollment

1. How can I tell if this is my child's home school? Am I out of district?
Answer: To check to see if your address falls within Sheridian School District #2's boundary lines, click the link below, enter your address and then click enter.

 2. Do you accept 'Out of District' students?
Answer:  We gladly accept out of district enrollment forms during registration every year (End of July). Depending on space availability, we will let families know if they will be able to attend for that school year with 2-3 days of turning in registration paperwork.

3.  Do I need to bring records from my child's previous school?
Answer:  If your child's previous school gives you any paperwork upon withdrawing your child from their school, feel free to bring those in when you enroll your child. Otherwise, we always send a records request to the previous school so that they will send all relevant information regarding your child as soon as possible. This includes, report cards, assessments etc.
*Important note*: If your child is currently on an IEP, you will need to bring a copy of it when you turn in enrollment paperwork.

4.  What if I do not have a copy of my child's birth certificate? Immunization records?
Answer:  In order to register your child, we need to have a copy of the child's birth certificate. If you have misplaced it, please make sure to look up online on how to order another copy. If your child was born in Colorado, we have included the link of where you can order another copy.
Colorado Dept of Public Health Birth Certificates
