Greetings, my name is Kevin Vicente and I am the EARRS Grant manager!  This is my 20th year working with youth and I truly appreciate being a support for students in this pivotal time of their lives. I have worked with youth in a wide variety of settings from the soccer field, to residential treatment centers, and in the classroom.  My hope is for all whom I get the pleasure of interacting with is to widen their view of the world and of themselves.  Outside of school, my wife and I are raising our two kids(8 and 11) to be active and caring people whom leave the world a better place. Go Colorado Rapids!

Social Worker
720-833-6770 Office

Hello! My name is Angie Green and I work with Soar Academy as the School Social Worker. I moved back to Colorado in 2021. I am passionate about helping vulnerable populations develop the skills needed to become the best version of themselves in order to achieve self-sufficiency. I practice my work through a combination of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy. I have an extensive background working with vulnerable populations, but enjoy working with at risk adolescents most. As I like to put it, “They are my Jam.” Outside of the work I dedicate myself to, I also teach for all of Colorado Municipal Courts. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, gardening, kayaking, whitewater rafting, watching movies, music, playing with my dog, camping, and mentoring teens.

I have been an educator for twenty-five years in many different locations and capacities. I’ve taught all across Colorado, in California, Lithuania, and Jordan. I’ve taught everyone from infants to adults, from English to Theatre. My favorite part about being an English teacher is to witness the power of literacy–how it can positively impact so many aspects of a student’s life. When I’m not teaching reading and writing, I’m practicing my own skills through participating in a variety of book clubs and writing groups. I also love to go to the theatre, practice daily yoga, take nature walks and hikes, and travel internationally. I have been married twenty-seven years to my college sweetheart and have two adult daughters and two dogs.
