Aimee Chapman - Director
Hello, my name is Aimee Marie Chapman and I have been the Director of Early Childhood Education since 2008. My previous experience has been with a private childcare centers where I gained experience as a classroom teacher, Assistant Director and Director.  I have a degree in Family Studies and a Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. I enjoy working with the families in the Sheridan community and setting the stage for future educational experiences.  

Dawn Mathews - Administrative Assistant 
My name is Dawn Mathews and I have been the Administrative Assistant at the Sheridan Early Childhood Center since 2018.  I was previously an Early Childhood Teacher in a bilingual classroom for 8 years.  My degree is in Spanish, and I enjoy working with preschool children and their families.
Jennifer Horn - Education Coordinator
Hi, My name is Jennifer Horn.  I have been in the field of early childhood education since 2006 and have loved every minute of it.  I taught preschool and was a teacher coach in APS for 10 years and have been with the Sheridan Community since 2017.  I have a passion for understanding each child as an individual and I thoroughly enjoy being part of the new discoveries they make. 

Carrie Hendricks - TOSA - Education Coach
My name is Carrie Hendricks and I am the TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) here at the ECC. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and a Teacher's License in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been working here for 10 years and love being a part of the Sheridan community!
Heather Porter - Mental Health Coordinator/ Social Worker
My name is Heather Porter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working as our Mental Health Coordinator and Child Find Coordinator.  I have over 18 years of experience in early childhood with 11 of them here at Sheridan ECC. I love helping our children learn self-regulation strategies that make them successful in school and life.

Rebecca Renz - Special Education Coordinator
Hello, My name is Rebecca Renz. I have been the Disability Coordinator here since 2014. I have a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I specialize in early childhood development, special education instruction, classroom support in implementing strategies, and accommodations to support children in engaging in preschool learning experiences. Becky Benavides - Special Education Paraprofessional

Hola, my name is Becky Benavides. I am a Special Education Paraprofessional, and have been working here since 2006. I hold an Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0 Level IV.  I have been a part of the Sheridan community for 17 years -- all 3 of my children have attended Sheridan Schools, Pre-K through High School.  

I love working with children - what a world to discover. I am passionate about everything they do, and how much I learn from them. “The best thing about working with children for all this time, is the beautiful feeling I have when those little faces begin to grow up, and accomplishing so much; that’s when I realize it was worth it. “One day at a time…we can make a difference!” 

Maria Elsa Rodriguez - Special Education Paraprofessional
My name is Maria Elsa Rodriguez, and I am a Special Education Paraprofessional.  I have my Early Childhood Education Professional Credential 3.0 Level III.  I have worked here at the Sheridan Early Childhood Center for the last 3 years, while also supporting the district as an interpreter. Prior to that, I was a stay-at-home Mom, supporting and caring for my own children.  I have lived in Sheridan for 14 years -- All 4 of my children attended the ECC, and 2 of them have already graduated from Sheridan Schools. I have enjoyed working with the students, teachers and families here, that I myself have been a part of. I also love to participate in events and programs, supporting my community and School District.  

Lyndsie Lee-Null - Child Find/ Speech Pathologist
Hello my name is Lyndsie Lee-Null, and I have been the Speech-Language Pathologist here at the ECC since 2016. My previous experience has been in-home health with children and families. I provide evaluations for incoming children, as well as children enrolled in our program, and provide therapy for students who qualify here, at the preschool. I hold a Master's Degree in Speech and Hearing Science, and have obtained my Certificate of Clinical Competence. I love providing support for children, families and teachers at this exciting stage in a child's development. 

Casey Hammes - Health Coordinator
Hello! I'm Casey Hammes, the Health Coordinator at the Sheridan Early Childhood Center. My time at the ECC began in 2019; since then, I have enjoyed building relationships with families and students and have helped to create a safe and healthy environment. I have my Master's Degree in Public Health, concentrating in Community and Behavioral Health, and ultimately strive to improve health equity throughout our community. 
Paulina Orrantia - Family Service Coordinator
My name is Paulina Orrantia, and I have been working as a Family Liaison at the Sheridan Early Childhood Center for 7 years. I have a BA in arts back in my country, Chile; and because of that educational foundation, I love creating new projects and engagement opportunities with and for our families. I am very committed to this community; my daughters attend Sheridan Schools, and I would like, if possible,  to continue working for and with this community for a long time.

Ymelda Garcia - Family Service Coordinator
Hola, my name is Ymelda Garcia. I have worked for Sheridan Early Childhood Center since January of 2008. At first I was a teaching assistant for 12 years, and then recently, I transitioned to the Family Liaison / Family Service Coordinator position in October 2019. I have lived in Sheridan for 22 years, and all 4 of my children graduated from Sheridan High School. I am passionate about helping children and families, and I enjoy working and being a part of the Sheridan community.

Megan Tyson - Digital Monitoring Assistant 
Hello, I'm Megan Tyson. I hold a Colorado Teachers' License for Preschool - 3rd grade, and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development. I have been a part of the Sheridan Early Childhood Center since February 2015, and have had many roles from Classroom Teacher, Teacher Assistant, and now, Digital Monitoring Assistant. I'm excited to be in this new role, where I assist with different digital aspects of our program,  & educational technology.  My own nephew attended here when he was young, and is now 10 yrs old, going on to do great things! I love being a part of this community. My colleagues and I, we are certainly a team, even a family, and we are blessed to give our all to serve these students, families, & this community.

Allison Pason-Guy  - Teaching Assistant 
I am Ms. Allison and this is my second year at the Sheridan ECC.  I am a teaching assistant in one of the full day classes.  I have a BA in English Creative Writing and will have my ECE AA degree and ECE Teacher and Director certificates from Arapahoe Community College in May 2023.   Before coming here I worked as a Lead Teacher/Site coordinator for Springboard/ Leading Edge Before and Afterschool Programs from 2018-2021.  
Constance Crowell - Teaching Assistant 
Hello my name is Constance Crowell, and I am a brand new Teaching Assistant here at the Sheridan Early Childhood Council. I have about 5 years experience as a private nanny for multiple families, and I love working with children. 
Two of my three children have attended here at the ECC, one is getting ready to attend Kindergarten in the Fall, and he has grown SO MUCH! I have served as the Chairwoman on the school's Policy Council, and  enjoyed volunteering so much, I decided to join the team!

Laura Pederson - Teacher (Full Day / Full Year Program Classroom)
Hi, my name is Laura Pederson. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology-Organizational Studies and Communication from University of California, Davis. I received my Teaching Credential in Special Education at Metropolitan State University and later added an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. This is my fourth year at the ECC, three years as a teaching assistant and my first year as a lead teacher.

Jeannette Dunn - Teacher
I have been a teacher for over 35 years, with the last 15 as a Head Start Teacher here at the ECC.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.  I have a teacher’s license in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in Colorado.  I have worked with ages ranging from a few days old to college level students; but the preschool children are my favorite!   
Laura Gonzalez - Teaching Assistant 
Hello, I am Laura Gonzalez and I have been an ECC employee for seven years. I am a teacher assistant and I like what I do. Before working here at ECC, I volunteered at my son's preschool in Denver. The experience and knowledge that I have gained here has helped me to do a better job with young children.  

Angela Bracero - Teacher
Hi my name is Angie, I have been a teacher for about nineteen years, four of those years have been here at the ECC. Many of those years have been spent in early education, which I am passionate about.  I am a Denver native and my hubby and I grew up very close to the Sheridan community.  We have one daughter who is six.  Our family loves traveling, photography, exploring our beautiful state. 
Fawzia Shakary - Teaching Assistant
Hello, my name is Fawzia Shakary, I am a Teaching Assistant and have been working with children and adults as a Nursing Assistant, since January 2019. I enjoy helping people as much as I can; and while my son was here, we had a good experience and felt welcomed with the Staff, so I felt interested to be more involved. I started to do volunteer work with the children and teachers at the Sheridan Early Childhood Center in January 2022.  Now, I am also continuing my education to achieve my AA degree in the future, while working as a teacher assistant in the classroom.

Hello my name is Sonia Ahmadi and I have been working at the Sheridan ECC since May 2022. I have about 11 months experience in Child Care, and currently I am taking some Early Childhood Education classes. I am a Teaching Assistant, and I'm so happy to be working here. 
Hadda Younes - Teaching Assistant 
Hi, my name is Hadda Younes. This is my first year working at Sheridan ECC,  and I am so excited to be a part of the team. Originally from Algeria, I studied law for 5 years at the university near my home. I have been here in the United States for 6 years, and I began working in child care from 2018 to 2021. My daughter Sarah has been attending the school since last year, and she is so happy being here, as am I.

Hi, my name is Michala Saenz. I am a teacher at the ECC, this is my 5th year teaching at the ECC, 6th year in the district. I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado.  I love working in the little community of Sheridan!

Asma Elham -Teaching Assistant
My name is Asma Elham. I am from Afghanistan, and I came to the USA in 2014. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for more than 10 years; and I have two daughters, ages 7 and 3.  I love working here at the ECE because I live in this neighborhood, and my children have also attended the ECE too. I really like this environment; the people are amazing, and all of us are working together to provide a great education for our children. 
I love to work with these kids and support them to grow in a safe, healthy, and emotionally supportive environment.
